You may or may not know that you can access your homespace on the University’s IT system, remotely. If you need to access files that you create on a campus PC when away from the University, this is currently possible through a system called FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
But the 14th June 2013 this systems is switching over to a new one, with similar but more intuitive functionality. The new system allows you to access your SHU network storage via a web browser application, which can be used on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android operating systems.
On Windows, Mac and Linux you just need to visit https://filestore.shu.ac.uk, and from here you can download the Web Connector. After restarting your computer you can use the application by logging in with your SHU username and password.
For more detailed instructions on how to use the new system read the shuspace news article from May 2013 or contact IT Help.
